Applying to SMC

Application Guide

Review the Required Documents section below to prepare the paperwork needed for the online application.

The application deadline is March 15th for the following academic year.  All supporting documents must be received by this date.  The only exception are final high school or college transcripts if you are currently finishing classes.  Final transcripts must be sent as soon as possible after classes have finished.

Acceptance to St. Mary’s College is a competitive process.  Incomplete or late applications greatly hamper your chances of being accepted during the current application cycle.

Late applications can be held for the next application cycle if requested by the applicant.

A visit to St. Mary’s College is a required part of the application process. The visit includes one or two days accompanying a student through a normal academic day. Meals are provided, and applicants are encouraged to spend a night in the dorm to get a complete feel for college life at SMC.

To schedule a visit, or if you have any questions, please contact the registrar at 785-437-2471, extension 422. You may also email [email protected].
