The Society of Saint Pius X is an international priestly society of almost 700 priests. Its main purpose is the formation and support of priests. Society priests live in community and serve faithful in over 70 countries around the world.
Rector and CEO of SMAC since 2016, Fr. Patrick Rutledge supervises all aspects of the parish of over 4,000 members, serves as head of the Academy grades K-12, and President of the College, leading the SMAC staff of over 250 and a combined student population of nearly 900 young souls. In addition to these responsibilities, from 2017 to 2023 he was the overall project manager for the 42-million-dollar construction of the “New Immaculata,” the largest Catholic church in the Kansas.
Fr. Wiseman teaches courses in philosophy and theology. He studied for the priesthood at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Minnesota and was ordained in 2016. Prior to that he earned a BA with distinction from Thomas Aquinas College, majoring in theology and philosophy with a minor in mathematics. He worked as the Assistant to the District Superintendent of Schools from 2013-2017 while also a professor at SMC. In 2017 he moved on to be a professor of theology and philosophy at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary. In 2025 Father returned to SMC to teach those same courses.
Dr. Joseph Strong, currently the Administrative Dean at St. Mary’s College, teaches Physical Science and College Mathematics. Beyond his College duties Dr. Strong continues to assist in the educational mission of the SSPX as teacher and Science Department Head at St. Mary’s Academy, and a lecturer during the SSPX Catholic Teacher Seminars.
