The College’s affairs are governed by an independent five-member Board of Trustees comprised of two Sponsor Trustees, appointed annually by the three ex-officio Members of the College corporation, and three Independent Trustees, appointed by board action.
The Board of Trustees supervises, manages, and controls of the affairs, business activities, and policies of the College, including, but not limited to review and approval of the operating budget and appointment of the officers of the College.
Fr. Gerard Beck, FSSPX, the First Assistant to the United States District Superior of the SSPX, supports the District Superior with the welfare of the priests and laity of the chapels in the U.S. by regularly visiting each of them and overseeing the continuing education of the younger priests. From 1996-2005 he also served as Bursar for the SSPX U.S. District. Ordained in 1996, Fr. Beck has served as a principal and/or prior in schools and parishes across the nation for almost thirty years and has been Superintendent of all SSPX schools in the country since 2009. In addition to his seven years of higher education at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, Winona, MN, he has a B.S. in Accounting from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY (1989).
Fr. Paul Robinson, FSSPX, is the Director of the Priests’ Training Program in Watkins, CO, where he has been stationed since 2019. Ordained a priest of the Fraternity of St. Pius X in 2006, after six years of education at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, Winona, MN, Fr. Robinson served as a professor of philosophy and theology first at St. Mary’s College from 2007 to 2009, and then at Holy Cross Seminary in Goulburn, NSW, Australia from 2009 to 2019. For the following three years Fr. Robinson served as Principal of Our Lady Help of Christians Academy in Watkins, CO. Prior to entering the Seminary, he studied at the University of Louisville where he earned both a B.S. and a M.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Engineering Mathematics & Computer Science.
Francis Awerkamp resides in the city of St. Mary’s with his wife Shannon and their seven children. Part owner of The Onyx Collection, Inc., a local business with over 550 employees, Mr. Awerkamp manages sales, marketing, and development for the design and manufacture of custom products for the bathroom remodeling industry. In 2026 he will begin his tenth session as an elected member of the Kansas House of Representatives, for which he currently serves as Chair of the Welfare Reform Committee. A St. Mary’s City Commissioner, he is also a Board Member of the local Flint Hills Shakespeare Festival.
Michael King, the Director, Chair, and Associate Professor of Finance in the School of Business at Benedictine College (Kansas) has twenty-five years of experience in teaching and administration at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He earned his B.A. at Benedictine College, an M.S. at Fort Hays State University (Kansas), an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona State University), and a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. From August 2010 until May 2014, he served as President of the College of Saints John Fisher & Thomas More in Fort Worth, TX, a Catholic liberal arts school accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges. In 2008, he served as a sub-committee chair for the 10-year re-accreditation review at Benedictine College under the Higher Learning Commission of the north central region. Prior to his career in higher education, he initiated several start-up business ventures, worked for a small investment banking firm, and served for one term of Congress (from January 1995 thru November 1996) as a professional staff member on the Commerce Committee of the U. S. Senate. He and his wife Christie have been married for over 30 years and are blessed with four children and three grandchildren to date.
Dr. Lantier has owned and operated his own medical practice since 1992. Co-Founder of the Surgery Center of Oklahoma in 1997, he is also Co-Managing Partner of Metro Anesthesia LLC and owner of Valere Medical PLLC. A graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry (1981), he attended medical school at Louisiana State University where he earned his M.D. (1986). He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (1990).
