The St. Mary’s College Drama Club exists to give students another opportunity to ‘live’ their curriculum, and yearly productions allow students to participate in all aspects of theatrical production. Just as students who serve and sing the Mass provide real service to the Liturgical expression of the Faith, students who act Sophocles, Shakespeare, and Eliot animate the works of the masters that they read in class in a uniquely meaningful way.
Live artistic performance is both challenging and profound, and allows students to experience art in a dynamic and dimensional way. Artists with various talents cooperate together to provide the living vehicles necessary to turn dead letters into immediate and meaningful reality.
