Rev. Fr. Patrick Rutledge

Biography

During his seven years as Rector, CEO, and College President Fr. Rutledge has re-organized and streamlined the corporate organization, adding Human Resources and Communications departments, appointing a Chief Financial Officer, and combining operations and facilities functions to optimize services. Under his leadership the College faculty revised and expanded the curriculum of the two-year associate degree into a Kansas Board of Regents approved four-year baccalaureate program and initiated the accreditation process. As Headmaster of the Academy he restructured the administration to give the principals of each school more autonomy and authority while also overseeing facilities expansion and reconstruction projects to allow for smaller classes and more complete separation of the Boys and the Girls’ Schools.

Since his ordination in 2009 he has been the pastor of four other chapels of the SSPX during which time he also worked for the U.S. District of the SSPX as Bursar, managing all capital projects and other financial, legal, IT and compliance matters for the 110 chapels and schools in the country.

Before his six years of studies in theology and philosophy at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, Fr. Rutledge attended Georgia Institute of Technology and SMC. A priest of the Society of St. Pius X since 2009, Fr. Rutledge began his pastoral work at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Watkins, CO, serving as Parish Assistant, liturgical music conductor, and teacher of religion and music in the parish high school while also serving as pastor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Paul, MN, and principal of their school in Oak Grove, MN. From there Fr. Rutledge was sent to be the pastor of three chapels: Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Carnegie, PA, St. James Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, PA, and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Girard, OH. In addition to serving the SSPX U.S. District as Bursar he also led the youth pilgrimages as Chaplain from 2010 to 2015.
