On November 23rd, the SMC students achieved a mighty victory against the Alumni in this year’s Apocalypse Bowl with a final score of 24-12!
Going into the game with the knowledge of the student’s crushing defeat in 2023, star quarterback and team captain Louis R. expressed his unshaken confidence in the team this year, saying “Let’s just go have some fun out there!”
With the final touchdown scored by Thomas G. in the last couple minutes, the players and fans rushed the field to celebrate the victory and, together with the Alumni, sang the college song:
“Dear St Mary’s ever ’round thee
Cling our hearts since first we found thee
And our song shall e’er resound thee
Everywhere we roam.
Ever shines thy star the clearest
And of feelings that are nearest

Of our college home.
