Fr. Peddemors was born in Michigan and grew up Catholic. After graduating high school, he studied philosophy at Thomas Aquinas College in California. During his studies he became interested in entering religion, and, following graduation, entered the Holy Name Province of the Dominican Order on the West Coast as a clerical brother. After taking temporary vows, he began further philosophical studies at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, California. There he began to attend the traditional Mass more frequently, and at the same time began studying Vatican II and the ensuing changes. He became convinced of the truth of the Society of St. Pius X’s positions, was granted exclaustration then dispensed from my vows, and left the Holy Name Province. After spending a few years working in a winery in Ventura County, California as a cellar-hand and then as cellar-master, in 2018 he entrusted his clerical career to the little-known patroness of Los Angeles, St. Vibiana, and entered the Society’s seminary in Dillwyn. Ordained in the Spring of 2026, Father’s first assignment is SMC.
