Rev. Fr. James Peek

Biography

Fr. James Peek was born in New Zealand in 1957. In 1976, he entered Massey University in New Zealand, but left after two years to pursue a religious vocation. He was a postulant brother with the SSPX for one year before entering the seminary in 1979; first in Econe, Switzerland, and then finishing in Albano, Italy. He was ordained a priest in the Priestly Society of St. Pius X in 1985.
Since his ordination, Father’s expertise in Latin, Philosophy, and Theology has kept him involved in education. Over the last 36 years, he has been a professor at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in the United States, St. Cure d’Ars Seminary in France, and Holy Cross Seminary in Australia. At Holy Cross Seminary he was rector from 1989 to 2001. Father now shares his knowledge and experience as a professor at St. Mary’s College.
